Gavin Brown is an Operatic Tenor currently working and living in Sydney, Australia.
Australian tenor Gavin Brown is a graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he received a Bachelor of Music Performance in classical voice under Anke Höppner. Gavin went on to star in a number of Musicals throughout Australia. He is pleased to return to the Sydney Conservatorium and his classical roots, currently completing his Masters of Music Studies in Opera Performance as a recipient of the Donald Lionel Edgerton Scholarship.
As one of Sydney's most versatile tenors, Gavin has sung with a number of internationally acclaimed composers ranging from Hanz Zimmer to Nobuo Uematsu, and recently performed with Patti Lupone on her 'Don't Monkey with Broadway' world tour. Other performances on the concert platform include the role of Martin in a staged version of Copland's The Tender Land, The Antagonist in Bernstein's Mass and the tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah.
Gavin has recently returned from New York where he performed the roles of Tamino in ‘The Magic Flute, Basilio and Don Curzio in ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ and sang in a series of concerts including an operatic gala at Carnegie Hall.

Other recent stage credits include his debut opera performance as Le Mari in Les Mamelles De Tirésias and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. Gavin has performed in a number of other roles including; Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked, Warner Huntington III in Legally Blonde: The Musical, Fabrizio Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza, J Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and premiered the role of Tony Abbott in the new Australian Musical The Colour Orange.
